About

Having worked in the Laboratory Animal Science field for over 17 years, James is passionate about the field, as well as the people, animals and research that make it up. James holds a Master’s degree in Laboratory Animal Science (MLAS) from Drexel University and is a Certified Manager of Animal Resources (CMAR) through the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS). His professional interests include technical training, facility design, personnel management, study conduct, and outreach. James currently works as the Director for Animal Care Services, leading a motivated and dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care for research animals and supporting the exceptional research conducted by the university’s scientists and researchers.

  • Spending time with my family, I have three young kids that keep me busy!
  • Coaching (my son and daughters baseball and soccer teams)
