UConn Virtual Horse Sale

Bidding opens Friday 11/7 at 12:00PM EST. Soft Close on Wednesday 11/12 at 7:00PM EST.

The annual University of Connecticut (UConn) Virtual Horse Sale will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST with a soft close on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM EST. Once the soft close begins, the timer will auto extend five minutes every time a bid is placed on a particular lot. This year's event will be held as a virtual auction with live online bidding facilitated by Wolf Auction Group. There is no option for in-person attendance.

#1 • UC Below Zero

Description

UC Below Zero, “Beezie”, is a 2021 Morgan mare sired by UC Domination (UC Doc Daniels x UC Aria) and out of Friend Charity Rose (LWM Mannie B x TSL Steel Magnolias). Her sire, UC Domination, is known for his trainability, athleticism, and versatility across multiple disciplines. He has shown successfully in Morgan Classic Pleasure, Carriage Driving, and Road Hack divisions, demonstrating the hallmark Morgan adaptability and willing nature. UC Domination is a proven sire, with his offspring successfully participating in the UConn program as well as being developed by amateur riders out in the equine community. Her dam, Friend Charity Rose, has consistently produced well-minded and versatile offspring that have gone on to excel in driving, hunter, dressage, and western disciplines, including success in collegiate show programs such as IHSA and IDA. Beezie is a well-started young prospect with a willing temperament and strong pedigree, making her an excellent project for an amateur working with a trainer. She stands quietly for grooming, bathing, the vet, and farrier, loads easily, and has been consistently handled. She is an easy-keeper and shows strong potential across multiple disciplines. While she can be a little looky when introduced to new obstacles, she approaches them with curiosity and try, making her a rewarding partner to bring along. Beezie's up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccines. Her training will continue until sold.

#2 • Ever So Good UC

Description

Ever So Good UC, “Buddy”, is a 2024, 15hh (expected to mature around 16.3hh) registered AQHA gelding by Red White N Good (Zippos Mr Goodbar X Krymsun Jet Set) and out of Devine Nostril (Mad Flatter X Sundays on the Bay). His sire, Red White N Good, is a multiple top 10 Congress and NSBA World Champion producer. His offspring have proven successful in the western, english, and in hand AQHA classes. Most notably, he is the sire to NSBA World Champion and Multiple Futurity Champion, Live N It Up, as well as 2021 Amateur AQHA Champion, Icecream. Achievements from his own show career include a 3rd in the 2013 Performance Halter Stallions and a 6th in the 2015 Open High Point Western Riding Stallions at the Congress. Buddy gets his size and athletic nature from his dam, Devine Nostril, a 17.1hh thoroughbred who had shown potential as a hunter horse before she became a broodmare. Buddy has a strong understanding of groundwork, with three balanced gaits on the lunge. He loads, ties, and has been introduced to bathing and clipping. He is extremely brave and willing when faced with new obstacles (he’ll wear a tarp that covers his body from ears to hooves!), and he adores being loved on. His established manners and an in-your-pocket personality make him a quality all around prospect for a youth or amateur working with a trainer. He would also make an excellent 4h project or trail partner! Buddy’s training will continue until he is sold. He is up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccinations.

#3 • UC Change of Hart

Description

UC Change of Heart, “Frejya” is a 2022, 15 hh (expected to mature to ~15.2hh) Morgan mare. Frejya is by UC Battersea Xanadu (Chief of State x Battersea Ouida) and out of UC Holiday Rose (Rosevale Leggo x Holiday Pride). Her maternal grand sire, Rosevale Leggo has an extensive show record exceling in both sports classes and dressage. He is a USEF ‘Horse of the Year’ Regional Champion and an AMHA Regional Champion at 2nd level. Frejya’s paternal grand sire, Chief Of State excelled in several disciplines, including carriage, dressage, hunter over fences, and trail. He earned numerous championships in both open and Morgan competition. Her sire, Battersea Xanadu was successfully shown in hand and has been one of the top producing stallions at UConn for the past two years due to his impressive pedigree, temperament, and trainability. Frejya’s Dam, Holiday Rose, showed potential in both the hunter and dressage arenas at UConn before she became a broodmare. Although Holiday Rose could not continue her show career, she has made a wonderful broodmare due to her correct confirmation, athleticism, and fantastic blood. Frejya herself lunges with and without tack, works off the bridle in hand, long lines, and has been mounted. Her training will continue until sold. She was put through a jump shoot successfully with great form. She is very willing and aims to please in any way she can. She is a sensitive mare with a strong foundation and lovely ground manners. She ties, loads, stands for the vet and farrier and has been introduced to clippers and bathing. She is up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccinations. Frejya could go in any direction but seems best suited for dressage or hunt seat. Frejya would be a good project for an amateur with a trainer or an advanced rider looking for a prospect.

#4 • Vendetta UC

Description

Vendetta UC, “Mud” is a 2025 registered KWPN chestnut filly expected to mature to around 15hh with a lineage of top performers. Mud is by Pixar (Popeye x Faschon) out of Angelina M (Roy M x Odizenna). Angelina M is a 2005 registered KWPN, who has produced several quality sport horse prospects from a variety of different types of stallions. Mud’s sire, Pixar, is a flashy 2012 ISR Sport Pony Stallion who has an impressive number of achievements in both dressage and hunter/jumpers over the years. He was most recently named USEF’s 2024 Leading Sire for Dressage Breeding and will be competing at the 2025 Prix St. George in Connecticut and Western MA. Pixar consistently passes on his exceptional temperament and easy-going personality, producing AA and Jr friendly prospects suitable for both the hunter/jumper and dressage rings. While being handled and trained, Mud shows an amiable and adjustable personality but is also sensitive and responsive. Mud stands for the farrier and vet, loads. She is working on tying, clipping, and being introduced to obstacles. This filly loves being pampered! Due to her impressive bloodlines, even-temperament, and correct, sporty, conformation, Mud could be taken in any direction but would succeed in the dressage and hunter/jumper rings. She is up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccinations.

#5 • Titan Sonne UC

Description

Titan Sonne UC also known as “Sonnie” is a 2023 registered KWPN out of Angelina M (Roy M x Odizenna) and by Sternlicht (Soliman de Hus x Rhapsody GGF). He currently stands 15 hands and is expected to mature to around 16 hands. Sonnie is looking for his future partner and smart enough to take in any direction but would excel as a dressage horse. His sire Sternlicht has an impressive show record including placing 3rd at USEF FEI Six-Year-Old Championships, winning USDF Dressage Finals three times, and multiple USDF Regional Championship titles. In 2020, he was USDF All-Breeds Champion for the American Hanoverian Society. This stallion has fabulous blood and is known pass that to his offspring producing quality and USDF breed winners. His dam Angelina M has produced multiple quality foals for the UConn program. Although they are all still young, they are showing promise in the dressage arena with spectacular trots, correct conformation, and amateur friendly temperaments. Sonnie is a careful horse and a very quick learner. He truly wants to please his person. Sonnie loads, ties, and stands for the vet and farrier. He is currently lunging with tack and beginning to work on long lining and working off reins in hand. His training will continue until sold. He is up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccinations.

#6 • Flamin' Hot UC

Description

Flamin Hot UC, affectionately known as Fuego, is a 6 month old registered AQHA weanling. He is expected to mature around 16.2hh. Fuego is by Hot Ones Only (Invitation Only x Hot Shot Hit) and out of DGS Indycisive (Indian Artifacts x Krymsun Hot Invite). Hot Ones Only is very accomplished with an impressive record. 9 Time AQHA World Champion (most of any stallion in history!), 13 Time Congress Champion, over $100,000 in earnings, and The All Time Leading performance stallion in history. He produces successful progeny, most notably, Not Just Anyhoo (Hot Ones Only x Skys Strawberry) has won 10 Congress Championships and 2 AQHA World Championships. Fuego's dam, DGS Indycisive has competed in hunter classes, earning ribbons for Level 1 (Amateur) Regional Experience. Fuego is confident over obstacles, loads, stands for the vet and farrier, and unfazed by chaotic environments. His training will continue until sold working on standing quietly while tied, being introduced to clippers and bathing This very level-headed colt will excel as a western pleasure prospect, but is trainable enough to take on a variety of jobs. His in-your-pocket personality and calm demeanor makes him suitable for an amateur with an experienced trainer. Fuego is up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccinations.

#7 • In Utero: Best Regards x Aruba

Description

"Aruba 2026" is a 2026 (in-utero) Holsteiner colt (*sexed by ultrasound) by Best Regards 16.3hh (Cumano x My Girl lll) and dam Aruba 16hh (Cherokees Boy XX x American Diamond XX). Best Regards has excelled in the jumpers. Jumping up to 1.45m. He has an extensive show record in the US and Europe, particularly in the hunter conformation. Including champion high performance conformation at WEF in 2018 and 2020. He placed 6th in the USHJA International Hunter Derby at Deeridge in 2019. His offspring tend to excel in the jumper world inheriting his athletic ability and stamina. Dam Aruba is a cute, refined mare with a sweet demeanor. Her athletic and lean build makes for great dressage prospects. Her 2023 filly “Real Chill HJF” was Champion Holsteiner Hunter breeding yearling and 2yo at the Zone 1 USHJA Finals. Aruba’s 2019 filly Fabiola PVF is showing promise in the dressage ring and showing in first and second level and winning scores of 70 in training level. Finally, Aruba's half-brother, also a full Thoroughbred, successfully jumped 1.45m in international competition. "Aruba 2026" will surely be an athletic flashy guy in whatever way you point him in. Surely to excel in the hunters, dressage, or even jumpers. Even showing promise in confirmation classes based on his siblings' success.

#8 • UC Mi Amigo

Description

UC Mi Amigo “Amigo” is a 2017, 14.3hh dark bay AMHA-registered Morgan gelding. Amigo is by UC Doc Sanchez (UC Doc Daniels x UC Tee Time) out of Friend Charity Rose (LWM Mannie B x TSL Steel Magnolias). Friend Charity Rose has produced several quality foals that have become great driving, hunter, dressage, and western horses with success in the IHSA and IDA show programs. His sire, UC Doc Sanchez, was highly successful in the saddle seat and pleasure driving show rings, competing in the Morgan Classic on multiple occasions. All of his foals have thrived in pleasure driving, saddle seat, dressage, low-level hunters, and western riding. Amigo exemplifies the versatile nature of the Morgan breed as he has a strong foundation in dressage, a background in western riding, and some ground driving experience. Amigo has the potential to do well in lower-level dressage or western pleasure and is amateur-friendly. He has participated in our riding programs as well as academic classes/advanced training projects. He is an “in your pocket” horse with a willing mentality. He is barefoot, excellent on the trail, stands for the vet and farrier, ties, and loads with ease. Amigo is up to date on deworming, Coggins, and vaccinations.
