The University of Connecticut offers a four-year Animal Science degree with an Equine Science area of interest. The program is flexible, offering both a broad liberal education, involving a choice of several electives, combined with the option of individual development. A two-year program is available through the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture in which courses cover the more practical aspects of Animal Science.
Both programs present the opportunity for extensive hands-on experience with horses.
