We provide our 400+ undergraduate students a variety of options with six areas of interest: pre-vet/pre-grad, equine science, business management, food science, animal production, and animal biotechnology. These options allow students to gain industry specific experience for a wide variety of animal-related careers.

  • UConn Summer Schooling Show

    The annual summer schooling show will be held at the Horsebarn Hill Arena on Saturday, July 22nd.  The show features classes in both western and english.  See the class list and registration form here.  For outside horses, please use the health form for visiting horses here.

  • Animal Science Undergraduate Research Opportunities

    The Department of Animal Science offers undergraduates many opportunities to conduct research outside of the classroom in a variety of areas. Animal Science labs are currently researching with the help of undergraduate and graduate students.

    Each semester the Department of Animal Science publishes an electronic student newsletter in order to share the latest department news and events; scholarship, job, and internship opportunities; students accomplishments; and reminders of important deadlines to keep our students informed.
