Looking for something fun to do this summer? How about horse-back riding lessons?!

Once again the University of Connecticut's Animal Science Department will be offering its popular Summer Riding Program to the public. Please note that Dressage, Hunt Seat, Polo, Western riding lessons and Trail Riding are open to adults and children who meet the minimum age requirements. Please see the information and forms below.

Riding Lesson Styles

 

Hunt Seat, Dressage, and Western Riding

Participants must be 11 years of age or older or at the 6th grade level in the fall of 2017

All Levels: Beginners - Advanced Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

SESSION I
MAY - MAY TBA
SESSION II
MAY - JUNE TBA
SESSION III
JUNE - JULY TBA
SESSION IV
JULY - JULY TBA
SESSION V AUGUST - AUGUST TBA

SUMMER HORSE SCHOOLING SHOW - AUGUST 2017

 

 

 


Polo Lessons

Participants must be 11 years of age or older

All Levels: Introductory - Intermediate

INTRODUCTORY LEVEL - SESSION I JULY - AUGUST TBA
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - SESSION II AUGUST - AUGUST TBA

 

 

 

 

 

Trail Riding

Participants must be at least 13 years of age

All Levels: Intermediate - Advanced

Rider may choose to ride English or Western style

Ride the UConn Trail System and practice trail riding -- including how to follow markings!

SESSION I MAY - MAY TBA
SESSION II MAY - JUNE TBA
SESSION III JUNE - JUNE TBA
SESSION IV AUGUST - AUGUST TBA
