Sat Afternoon : Clinics with Jeff Morse : Improving Your Driving Performance and Having Fun While Doing It!

1-2 PM
Clinic 1: Exploring the Separation of Labor and Management: Who is who? How to clearly establish and maintain each of the roles and create the best driving performance your horse can give you.


2-3 PM
Clinic 2: Bending The Driving Horse: A driving horse can always be better balanced and the key is proper bending. Learn the key to how to accomplish and train for improved bending and balance. Make life easier for your driving horse: a balanced horse is an efficient horse.


3-4 PM
Clinic 3: Body Position and Control: The 4th Aid: The whip, reins and voice are the three aids for driving. Often neglected is the 4th aid: better use and control of the driver's body position. You will learn the "Check Yourself Routine" which you will use on every drive in the future.

UConn students or experienced riders can use a UConn horse in the clinics for an additional $20 fee

9 AM -12 PM Hands on Horse Science!

Learn about basic first aid, microchipping, horse vital signs, saddle fitting, sheath cleaning and myofascial release therapy!

Rotate to a Different Station on the half hour: Microchipping, Basic First Aid, Horse Vital Signs, Saddle Fitting - English, Saddle Fitting - Western, Myofascial Release Therapy

1 PM UConn Polo Match
