The Equine Program at the University of Connecticut accepts breeding service donations as well as monetary donations for new breeding prospects to cover costs such as collection fees and veterinary care associated with a high caliber breeding program.
Because of the generous donations to UConn’s breeding program, UConn students have had the opportunity to develop technical and managerial skills necessary for operating horse breeding farms. Programs for herd health, hoof care, nutrition breeding, foaling, and record keeping are offered. Because the horses are located right on campus, students have many opportunities to receive hands on experience.
If you have questions regarding our breeding program or how you can donate a breeding service, please contact Mr. John Bennett, UConn Horse Unit Manager and Instructor at John.Bennett_Jr@uconn.edu or (860) 486-2034.
Monetary donations to our breeding program can be made by mail or online:
The UConn Foundation Inc. 2390 Alumni Drive, Unit 3206 |
Also, please indicate donation is to the “Friends of UConn Morgan Horses” account
